Shallow boreholes are boreholes up to approx. 300 m.
The investigation of these
boreholes, which primarily serve exploration targets in the field of hydrogeology and water
management, also comprises an equally important business area. In addition to logging work,
in connection with exploration measures, borehole geophysics has gained considerably in
importance in recent years with regard to environmental protection tasks. Thus, geological
and hydraulic borehole investigations support the preliminary investigation and planning of
contaminated site remediation.
The concrete tasks within the above mentioned business field usually result from the
specific requirements of the industry sector and require a high flexibility in the use of
measuring equipment in order to be able to respond to the problem at any time in a targeted
manner.
The individual measurement methods can be combined according to the tasks
in hand in such a way that a comprehensive and reliable evaluation of the respective object
(borehole, water well, measuring point, etc.) can be carried out.
BLM GmbH can
offer the use of a range of methods, whereby they can be used optionally in an open hole or
also in a developed cased hole, measuring points and similar structures.
“Under pressure” refers to the condition that there is gas overpressure in the riser of
production probe installations or that water wells are highly artesian.
